SELF CREATED CONFLICTS

The Bowl Lesson

There are those who become interested in the psychic and although they realize it has helped them yet will they create a problem because of their religious, church, Bible activities. So many are involved in WHO they worship they lose sight of what, exactly, they worship. We are constantly bombarded with the opinions of family, relatives, books, friends, priests, ministers, evangelists, etc. What gives any of them the right to create a conflict in what I am learning and is helping me? Are they giving me what they learned from, actual experience or are they giving me only their personal opinion? Many self proclaimed Christians give the impression that they have reached a perfection of some kind. It is interesting to note that the most profound prophets, teachers and spiritually oriented people of old and even to the present time never laid claim to their being saved or spiritually perfect. A few examples of this are Peter, St. Paul, Edgar Cayce, Arthur Ford. Their spiritual greatness stems from their self doubts, humility, service to others and a complete submission to their spiritual/psychic gifts. The prophets of old, the spiritual/psychic teachers in all ages, Jesus Himself were all persecuted and condemned by the religious leaders of their time. Most religions have become ORGANIZATIONS and spiritual/psychic development is a threat to their established and accepted teachings whether they have been proven or not. Jesus was a Rabbi, an innovative teacher and preacher so He was a threat to tradition, to man created demands, rules and regulations. Jesus created no conflicts - MAN DID AND STILL DOES. ... He was crucified.

Is it any different today? Not much.

Take Arthur Ford and Edgar Cayce for example. Each of these men were totally Christian oriented yet were never accepted by the Christian religious leaders. Again we find that they were a threat to tradition, personal opinion and ritual. Both of these men brought, to many people, peace and enlightenment and understanding yet does man love to create conflicts regarding them. Man loves his self created conflicts of there being a devil, sin, evil spirits, etc. What did Jesus say to those who were always living within their own negatives? He said, "I do not condemn thee for you have already condemned yourself."

Many of us confuse ritual, tradition, outer activity and repetition with spirituality. We follow the man made rules demanded of us and then do our best to argue and rationalize the truly spiritual/psychic experience as simply being wishful thinking, our imagination or just plain bunk. What have our man made rules really taught us? The religious leaders condemned Jesus as being possessed by the devil when He drove the devil out of someone. And another foolish conflict was created. Would the devil drive out the devil???

I cannot help but wonder what Jesus thinks when He sees the conflicts, the hate, the lack of compassion man has created in relation to His teachings and to He Himself. Man doesn’t give a thought to the self created conflicts he burdens God and Jesus with. "God do this", "God do that", "God save me", "Jesus heal me." Because we are constantly praying to a Deity "out there somewhere" we fail to recognize it when it is right be-fore our eyes. This is because we are motivated to LOOK FOR instead of LOOK WITHIN. We insist upon something tangible, something we can see or touch in order to "back up" what we simply SAY we believe. Now the Bible comes in handy. It actually is the most magnificent, spiritual/psychic book ever written yet the conflicts man has created because of it are appalling. The Bible is not a book of excuses or condemnation of others. It is a book of revelation, of removing the conflicts, of love.

True and meaningful spiritual/psychic development removes the things that should have no part in our lives. It places all of the man created demands, the repetition, the rituals, the conflicts in their proper places. When so called Christians oppose what others are learning and call it the devil's work they will one day have to realize that they have CREATED A CONFLICT WITHIN THEMSELVES! They must live with this and it will react upon them accordingly.

Then how do we eliminate most of our conflicts? The answer is really quite simple ...

BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!!

God Love Ya
