No lesson of mine, no running around studying every gimmick, no amount of man created concepts can take the place of one PERSONAL mystical experience. If it is the REAL THING there will be no fear, no doubts or questioning. The ego - self consciousness - is completely dissolved in the HOLY experience. How do we attain such an experience? Here are a few guidelines to help you toward the mystical experience.

AURA - As the seeing of aura is developed you might begin to realize it is NOT NECESSAR-ILY YOUR OWN AURA YOU ARE SEEING. It could be the aura of a spirit visitor. Greet this with a friendly word, an expression of gratitude.

KNOCKS - Do not shrug this off as being just the wind or the house settling. This is simply spirit saying, "We are here and hope we are welcome." NEVER be afraid of this simple gesture of friendship. Welcome them and let them know how delighted you are that they care enough to come.

WRITING – INSPIRATIONAL - Sit quietly with pencil and paper. Ask for your Spirit guidance to inspire you what to write. NEVER IGNORE the impressions, ideas, thoughts, that will come to you out of the so called blue. WRITE THEM DOWN IMMEDIATELY. MOST successful people do this or some variation of it.

WRITING - AUTOMATIC - There will always be those who will, try to discourage you from trying this. "It is dangerous." "You can easily draw evil." Of course if you are not an emotionally stable person or you have a fear of the devil or you are easily influenced by other people or you are UNSURE of your motive then you should NEVER try this or, anything else to do with the spiritual/psychic. Try to understand the TOTALITY of God's creation. If you do there will be no need to fear or doubt. Set up a schedule for yourself. Sit quietly and relax. ASK for your Spirit help and guidance and ASK FOR ABSOLUTE SPIRITUAL PROTECTION. Have a pad and pencil or pen in your lap or on the table before you. ASK if there is anyone who would like to USE you to write. BE NORMAL ABOUT IT! Hold the pen or pencil in your usual way and then ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN. The time it takes for success varies with different people. BE PATIENT!

PSYCHOMETRY - This has to do with energy vibrations. It is a great way to GET YOURSELP OUT OF THE WAY. There will always be those who will tell you it is nothing more than a point of concentration and there is nothing to it. Be that as it may, it should be realized it is a recognized fact that we all radiate an energy which impregnates what we hold or carry. When you hold an object WATCH FOR A CHANGE OF MOOD. Think about the owner of the object, NOT YOURSELF! NEVER allow yourself to "butt in" by wondering if it is your own thinking or your imagination. This sort of thing is far too ego centered.

SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHY - Spirit is of a different light spectrum than the flesh. "They" have to lower their light and color vibrations in order for anything to show up in a picture. The "sitters" MUST raise their "thought vibrations" and when this is accomplished good results can be expected. Ignore those who always have a full explanation of the pictures which usually dwells on the falseness of them. Simply IGNORE this sort of reaction.

TRUMPET - True trumpet development is rare indeed. It is a magnificent method of hearing ACTUAL SPIRIT VOICE. Simply place a trumpet on a table in the center of the room. My wife and I once had a manifestation by using a cardboard cone. If a metal cone is used try placing it in a bowl of water. When the conditions are just right everyone will hear the spirit voice emit from the trumpet. I suggest developing this first in the dark and then begin using a soft light. I have found that a red or blue light is best.

TRANCE - We are all endowed with a conscious mind and a sub, or super conscious mind. It is the subconscious that goes beyond the physical and is the storehouse of all that you ever was, are now and ever will be. It is quite aware of the seen as well as the unseen. When the conscious level is laid aside and the subconscious is activated it then can come in contact with all of creation, the seen as well as the unseen. NEVER try to develop trance work without the aid of someone who knows all about it. NEVER attempt trance work unless you are a very stable and emotionally well balanced person. Of course hypnosis is a form of trance but this is DIRECTED BY SOMEONE and has little to do with SPIRITUAL TRANCE. Spiritual trance is actually a gift which is usually not consciously developed.

SLATE WRITING - Two ten-cent store slates with wooden frames will do. Soak a small piece of chalk in some water for a few minutes. Place the chalk between the slates and then tie or tape the slates together. Place the slates on your knees with your hands resting lightly on them. Now watch what happens.
