I had an experience when I was bumming my way around the country which I have never forgotten. I was very young and alone but eager to see everything I could. It was about four in the afternoon when I hit New York. Wandering aimlessly I came upon a beautiful fountain. It was set in the center of a large pool. As the late afternoon sun hit its spray it looked like hundreds of small rainbows interlaced in the delicate spray. It was quite beautiful. I walked to the waters edge and looked down at the edge of the pool. The surface of the water was cluttered with empty peanut shells, cans, cigarette butts and packages. The current caused by the spraying fountain kept pushing all of the debris to the edge of the pool. I looked up and saw the beauty of the fountain itself. It seemed to want no part of the trash so kept pushing it all away from it-self.

As I think back on this experience I cannot help but liken it to man. The fountain represents the TRUE PERSON or God Within and the trash at the outer edge represents the "stuff" we throw in the way so we do not have to understand our TRUE SELF and the purpose for our just being where we are. E.S.P. is simply getting rid of the "stuff" but if this is not possible then we can at least LOOK OVER IT to the real beauty WHICH IS ALWAYS THERE.

E.S.P. is basically GETTING TO KNOW YOURSELF IN RELATION TO ALL CREATION.

Will someone please give me a hand full of air. Silly isn't it yet without this unseeable, untouchable, unsmellable "stuff" you would not even be able to read this and you would not be in a class room or anywhere else. It is a powerful substance that we use every day and every night WITHOUT SO MUCH, AS A THOUGHT ABOUT IT - that is until it affects us in some negative way. We never think of air as either positive or negative UNTIL IT AFFECTS US IN SOME WAY - again usually in a negative way. It is then we give some thought to it. Why?? It is DOING SOMETHING TO US so it then becomes a personal thing.

So it usually is with such things as E.S.P. or another Way of putting it is The Potential Power of the Mind.

Some are awakened to this tremendous POWER thru a death, a serious illness, a traumatic experience or, and there are a few, thru just plain curiosity. Whatever the reason once you SERIOUSLY step upon its path your life will never again be quite the same. You will begin to realize that there is a relationship within ALL CREATION and whether seen and touched or not makes no difference. The Power of which I speak does not deal with flesh and bone alone -- it deals with all that is, was and ever shall be.

Actually E.S.P. is simply getting to know yourself in relation to ALL Creation. Scared? Critical? Doubts? All bunk? The devil? Nothing to it?

OK but I say this - Just ONE profound experience of your own should change your whole concept. If frightened, the fear is WITHIN YOU and was there in the first place. The work of the devil? This approach shows loud and clear how insecure we are and we are allowing our previous teachings and attitudes to affect our thinking. The devil can be in an automobile but it is not the automobile that recognizes a devil IT IS THE ONE DRIVING IT that determines whether it is good or bad.

E.S.P. is plain and simply LISTENING without material or physical aspects entering in. Just BE STILL long enough to "receive" the hunch, inspiration or just knowing what you should do and then ACT UPON IT - BELIEVE IN IT (it shows you are beginning to believe in yourself and that’s great.)

NEVER listen to a lot of negative viewpoints or your mind will become cluttered with a bunch of "stuff" (the cans, peanut shells, cigarette packages and butts, etc.) LOOK OVER the debris to the fountain WITHIN. LOOK OVER your difficulties and problems so the mind is left clear for greater enlightment. DO NOT look for individualities but look for PURPOSE, FAITH, TRUST, BELIEF that what is meant for YOU to receive. YOU WILL RECEIVE.
